To: Yana in Belarus

Belarus!

Postcard #4 is going to Belarus!

To be honest, I didn't know where Belarus was at. Naturally, I googled it and found out that it's a country in Europe next to Poland, Ukraine, and Russia.

I just started this blog (because I just began to do postcrossing) and every time I send a postcard I like to include the flag of the country of where it is going to in my blog with a caption of the country's name in its native tongue. Well, I didn't know how to write 'Belarus' because I didn't know what language they spoke over there. Google told me that 36.7% of the population spoke Belarusian, 62.8% spoke Russian, and the remaining 0.5% spoke a mix of Polish and Ukrainian. Well, I don't want to get it wrong so, I just wrote it in plain old English!

To: Inna in Russia

Россия

Hello Russia! Or should I say, Здравствуйте!
To be quite honest I don't even know if that is right because I am using google translate. If it's wrong hopefully you can at least see my attempt. Ha!

It's the middle of winter and I can only guess how cold it must be in Russia right now.

To: Allen in Hong Kong

香港

Hello Hong Kong! I have a postcard for you!
Now, I know that Hong Kong is a city in China but, how cool is its own provincial-level flag?

I've never physically been to Hong Kong but, thanks to postcrossing I can get there in 7 to 10 business days- or so, that's how long it would take my postcard to arrive there according to the lady who attended to me at the post office today.

Deutschland

My first postcard is going to Germany!

How super exciting! I've been to Germany once in my life for a school trip and it was a wonderful experience- one of the few that I will never forget. I remember that my hair was super blonde when I went to Berlin but, I hadn't touched up my roots and I remember (back then) looking at pictures and thinking 'why didn't I go to the salon?' Haha!

Hello Postcrossing!

Sending love from NY around the Globe!

I absolutely love traveling. I'll admit that one of my dreams would be to travel the world- many people have that dream! But the next best thing from actually being in that foreign place is knowing someone there.
